Careful evaluation of the motorcycle's engine, chassis, wheels, ignition and carburetors will give us a good idea of the condition of your motorcycle and help us establish the priorities it's restoration.

The first step for any project is to carefully evaluate the motorcycle and see what needs attention. Careful evaluation of the motorcycle's engine, chassis, wheels, ignition and carburetors will give us a good idea of the condition of your motorcycle and help us establish the priorities it's restoration. 

 

Mechanical

Initial inspection of the engine, gas tank and contents, brakes and suspension and tires, test ride if possible. â€‹Compression test of engine, inspection for leaks and external engine damage and general condition. 

Electrical

Inspect the  battery, wiring harness, charging system, switches, lights, flashers and accessories. 

Chassis and Suspension

Inspect the tires, fork, shocks, swingarm, steering head, frame and stands, wheels and bearings. 

Carburetors and Fuel System

Inspect the gas tank, petcock and lines, exhaust, throttle, choke, carburetors and airbox, plus engine breathers and hoses. 

Cosmetic

Inspect the bodywork and paint, brackets and fasteners, plastic, rubber, aluminum and chrome
